Clear about what is counted
We distinguish registrations from broader community reach, and avoid presenting modelled estimates as measured outcomes.
Our impact
We report registrations and any estimates separately. Where we use a number, we explain what it counts and where it comes from.
Gardens registered
This reported total has been provided by Community Nature Reserve. It is a participation count, not a measure of species abundance, carbon capture, or habitat condition.
What the count shows
A registered garden shows that someone has chosen to take part. Optional details about the space and its habitat features help us understand the kinds of actions people are planning or already taking.
We do not use a registration total alone to claim a fixed number of pollinators, species, square metres of habitat, or carbon savings. Those figures need a transparent method and appropriate data.
Reporting principles
We distinguish registrations from broader community reach, and avoid presenting modelled estimates as measured outcomes.
Broad location and space type show where people are choosing to make more room for wildlife, without publishing full addresses.
Where we publish environmental estimates, the method, inputs, date, and limitations should be available alongside the number.
